Georgia Primary: Gingrich 38%, Romney 26%, Santorum 20%, Paul 7%

Three percent (3%) prefer another candidate, and six percent (6%) remain undecided.

Their last poll, released Feb. 23, was

Gingrich 33%
Santorum 28%
Romney 20%
Paul 9%

So Romney making some gains, and Gingrich consolidating the anti-Romney vote.

Gingrich is pretty much safe here. The Romney people are going to be too focused on Ohio to make a serious run at it.

I suppose this is a surprising side effect of the negative ads that have been running here.  The ones on the Augusta TV stations have been running almost no other political ads but SuperPAC ads blasting Romney and Gingrich (with Romney's PAC having enough extra to run a few pro-Romney ones, and I actually saw an anti-Rick ad from them today.)  The effect has probably helped cause the voters to think the race is between just these two.

I think Gingrich pulls off a win, but obviously it won't be as astounding of a win as Mitt's Massachusetts margin is going to be.

Does Romney win any of the districts?

His best shot I would guess would be what was once a portion of Newt's old CD. Tongue I think that one has the highest SES in Georgia.  It takes in the wealthy hoods in north Atlanta, and the burbs to the north. I think the CD is numbered GA-06 in the new map.  GA-07 might be another candidate.
