Just curious to the commuting habits of Atlas posters.  I currently commute by car, though did commute by train when I worked in Manhattan.

I work at home.

As of the University, I walk (I live ten minutes away).

Motorbike of course.  I only use my car very rarely - maybe once a week to go to the nearby bigger city, or sometimes a bit more frequently for local trips during rainy season.

Can't imagine living here without this:

Bear in mind, this picture was taken on a weekend.  During the work week....

2002 Chrysler Sebring, and I just park on the street somewhere near my apartment.

I travel to and from school on foot, mostly. The thought of high schoolers traveling by bus is odd to me; only the special ed kids use school buses here.

I used to walk to work, took about 20 minutes, and I kept that up for three years.  Now I have a different city and job, so I catch a train, and then a bus.

I've never driven a car.

Trains rule, BTW.

Depends on where it is. I don't drive, so if it's close enough, I'll walk, if it's further away, I'll take a cab or my friend will drive me. On the occasions when it's in another state, I take the train.

Ouch.. not famous for being a reliable vehicle.. also very prone to being stolen for some reason.

I used to walk to one of my jobs when I lived in CT, but now that I'm in PA I have to drive. It's about 14 miles to work, mainly on country roads, and no buses or trains. Most of the time, I'm in the company truck, so it's not my gas.

I don't work, but to get to college I walk twenty minutes to the train station, take a twenty-minute train ride, transfer, and then take a ten-minute streetcar ride.

no meters to worry about?  in my neck of the woods 1) you'd never get a spot and 2) if you did the cost would be prohibitive.
