ADP: Another solid month of job creation in Feb

Not the official government report, but a promising early number:

ADP: Private Sector Adds 216,000 Jobs

Private-sector jobs in the U.S. increased 216,000 last month, according to a national employment report published by payroll giant Automatic Data Processing Inc. and consultancy Macroeconomic Advisers. The gain was close to expectations of 215,000 put forth by economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires.

The January data were revised to show a gain of 173,000 instead of the 170,000 increase reported earlier. ADP also announced revisions to the 2011 job numbers to reflect new seasonal factors and regressional estimates to put the ADP data closer in line with the Labor Department's payroll series.

That's unemployment rate rhetoric.   Save it for when those numbers are released.

Any unemployment number is rhetoric as is job creation and job loss. It says nothing about GDP or the average family that might be struggling. All it says is one thing and that is the unemployment rate. You maybe starting to see the issue I have with throwing a single fact in the wind without any substance on its indication or what caused the single fact.

That's unemployment rate rhetoric.   Save it for when those numbers are released.

Whatever helps Obama I guess. We'll see how things look for him when he's blamed for gas prices this summer. Also, numbers don't matter as much as perception. If the unemployment rate goes dow to 6% for example, if people still aren't doing well financially despite the simple fact of having a job, he will lose. Numbers lie unless the whole story is told and that is true for every number.

The truth of the matter is we have had steady job growth the past 4 months and at this rate UE rate will be below 8% by November. Consumer confidence is up as well and people's outlook for the economy in 2012 are up as well.
