I'm curious...what is the single location most of us have been to.  I'm guessing it will be an airport, Federal building or amusement park, but I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.  We can use this thread for nominations.  Anything that can get nominated, seconded and then third-ed will go onto a future poll.  So, nominations please....I'll start with a couple of the more, at least to me, obvious ones.

White House
US Capitol
Disney World
O'Hare Int Airport

The place of most significance that I've been to...the Liberty Bell? Yeah, seems about right. My parents are travelophobes.

Of the ones listed, I've been to the White House, the Capitol, O'Hare, LaGuardia, and the Liberty Bell. I'll throw in LAX and Heathrow.

Alright, so far we've got O'Hare, WH, Capitol in and LAX, LaGuardia and JFK on the bubble.

I have been to all the places listed so far, so I'm not helpful in reducing the list.

I have been everywhere so far mentioned but the White House. No Lincoln Bedroom visits for me.  Boo!

How about Yellowstone Park, or Mt. Rushmore?  Those might be popular.

Well, assuming HTML hasn't been to JFK, O'Hare, LAX or LaGuardia then we're down to just the Capitol.

Perhaps I wasn't clear.  This thread was just to get a list of potential winners to be placed in a future poll I will create once I get that list.  So just add any places you think might make the cut or confirm other peoples nominations.  At this point the following places are "in"...
White House
Capitol
O'Hare
LaGuardia
LAX
JFK
Reagan National Airport
Heathrow

maybe the Liberty Bell (which probably should be Independence Hall...but Liberty Bell is a lot easier to type)

I'd like to get to 10ish.

Of the places listed, Heathrow is the only one I've been. If you can call an airport a "place". More of a vortex, really.

No real candidates to advance except maybe the Sydney Airport, Sydney Opera House and Melbourne airport, which I'd venture all the Aussie posters have been to at least 2 of the three.

I'd think that ATL would have more than LGA because it casts a wider net as a transit point. I'd also suggest that you lump the Disneys into "The Magic Kingdom" Smiley  Incidentally, has Disney fallen out of favor as a destination?  Used to be that every middle class family on the East Coast hit up Orlando for a cheap(er) vacation.

Also, I'm sure you would get a lot of Europeans and a good deal of Americans with Paris. Louvre or Eiffel perhaps?

Nothing in Europe will attract a majority in this poll. Realistically, we'd need a poll only about Europe for it to make sense.

Been to all, except the White House again (unless you count just viewing it from the street, rather than taking a tour inside).

I can't recall whether my family flew into/out of LAX or Orange County when we went there.

I don't understand why we're not guessing more DC things that don't require ridiculous amounts of security to get through... the Lincoln?  The Jefferson?  Also, I second Disney World.  What about Disneyland?

Three of the Aussie posters (four, if you count the ever silent MrsSmid) have been to the Railway Club Hotel. Smiley
