Terrorism and Middle East Policies:

1. Bush’s policies allowed us to kill Osama Bin Laden.
2. Stop any country that harbors a terrorist because they are just as guilty as the terrorists.
3. Stay on course in Iraq until job is complete and the country is stable.
4. Send more troops overseas if necessary.
5. A timetable tells the enemy when they can attack again and Obama did just that.
6. Our forces left Germany just recently so there is nothing wrong with peacefully being in Iraq.
7. Find out and fix what was wrong with our intelligence leading up to the Iraq War.
8. Invade Iran for harboring terrorists if new sanctions don’t work.
9. Keep sanctions on Iran.
10. Stand by Israel in the face of an attack.
11. Seek congressional approval for invasion of Iran.

World Image and Prisoners of War Policy:

1. Free trade is good for foreign policy.
2. End water boarding and other inhumane practices.
3. Close Guantanamo Bay and torturing facilities to improve image and credibility.
4. Move prisoners of Guantanamo Bay to other military prisons around the world.
5. No trial for non-citizens or those suspected of terrorism, but military tribunals instead.
6. Close military bases that we no longer use.
7. Those harboring terrorists are just as guilty as the terrorists themselves.

World Hunger and Third World Policies:

1. Provide aid for Israel in times of need.
2. Protect Israel’s right to having its own sovereign nation.
3. Limit foreign aid to $10 billion each year, just enough to ease starvation.
4. To borrow 43 cents for every dollar spent on foreign aid is insane with the debt we have here.
5. I would like to see us CAUTIOUSLY monitor $15,000,000,000 in treatment for aids in Africa.
6. A lot of foreign aid is lost to corruption.

Foreign Relations Reform:

1. Place sanctions against North Korea.
2. Air raids are necessary if North Korea does not disarm.
3. Leave the U.N. and form the a new alliance with other nations who hold free elections.
4. Sometimes the only thing an enemy understands is a heat-seething missile.
5. Avoid meeting with dictators and terrorists.
6. We are at war with Al-Qaida, not the Taliban, but the Taliban are not our friends either.
7. Ron Paul’s foreign policy would have been great before the 20th century.
 
Praise parts and tear other parts to pieces. I thought I'd lay out an outline of where I stand on some foreign policy issues rather than doing one issue at a time and beating a dead horse. I admit to some talking points in here as well.

These are basically the only lines I agree with, though I also think Palestine has a right to have its own sovereign nation with East Jerusalem as its capital and do not see misappropriation of foreign aid as a decent reason to cap or reduce the amounts the United States donates - especially since so little is being given when looked at as a percentage of GDP.

Especially "Ron Paul's foreign policy would have been great before the 20th century" are you kidding me? It would've been great for any century, including the 20th and 21st centuries. There is nothing wrong with Ron Paul's foreign policy and I wish Neocons would stop attacking him for it because he's right.

tl;dr

Basic overview of my foreign policy: Stop sticking our nose in the affairs of other countries, stop sending tons of foreign aid to countries no one really cares about, and trim the waste out of the budget.

However, we should definitely be prepared if (God forbid) we do need to go to war.

And, on Israel: it's not the "holy land". There is no "holy land". There's just "land". No more, no less.

I'm liking this discussion. Alot of politicians suck up to the public by defending Israel and Michelle Bachmann has been one of them from a speech I remember in 2010 before the elections. Palestine can co-exist with Israel but there isn't really anything we can do to stop them from fighting. They've been at it since whatever caused the story of Abraham to be written. I view my agenda above as being center-right but not neo-conservative.

I think you mean the 7th amendment? The consititution only applies to U.S. citizens.

I agree with you on this one. But should we be trying people for a crime with the military? Terrorism should be done in civilian court because it is a civil crime, not a war crime.  War can only be made between two nations.

I agree with you on this one. But should we be trying people for a crime with the military? Terrorism should be done in civilian court because it is a civil crime, not a war crime.  War can only be made between two nations.

Perhaps by definition it's not "war." Prior to the death of Osama Bin Laden, I wouldn't have wanted to see him in front of me at the magistrate as if he got a D.U.I.
