I honestly have no idea what his plan is or where he is trying to make a statement...if he even is. Any Paulites with some insight? Just coasting to the convention and trying to make changes there? Or...something?

The RELOVEUTION will not be televised (unless they manage to pull some hilarious stunts at the RNC, in which case it hopefully will).

Because he has nothing to lose by staying in.  At this point he's running for the same reason that the Libertarian Party runs candidates in the general (an "educational campaign").  Also ninja delegates.

There is an off chance he can help deny the GOP a clean nominee at the convention. And practicalities matter little to true believers. He'll be on the corner preaching the gospel of anarchy as long as he's able.

His campaign seems to be winding down as we head down the stretch, just as it did in 2008:

"Ron Paul holds only two events all week"

I chuckle at those that think his campaign was going to be even semi legitimate.

All the caucuses are over; his people know they have no shot at winning delegates in primaries.

I can't even imagine how many gaskets would be blown amongst the Paultards if the situations were somehow reversed and there was a secret Romney plan to swindle presumtpive nominee Ron Paul out of his delegates.

Paul is also running out of money.

Paul was hoping Romney would have wrapped things up by Super Tuesday with the others dropping out and he can hang on and get big protest votes all the way to the convention. Kind of like Jerry Brown did vs. Clinton back in 92. But with the race being being competitive, he is reduced to his core supporters.

I know they would steal delegates if they could.

He's hoping that he can have his delegates support Romney in exchange for his son being the running mate.

Trying to win enough delegations to speak at the convention.

Trying to win enough delegations to speak at the convention.

That may be part of it. In 2008 he held a convention in Minneapolis parallel to the RNC in St Paul. Perhaps he would like to influence the platform and be part of the main show this year.
