Hopefully this gets bad enough to damage Cameron big time. Ever since Thatcher and Major left office, I've hated the Tories...

So?  I suspect anyone who donates $400,000 to a political party would expect to have lunch with that party's leader if they wanted it.  That's the way Obama invited guests to his state dinner (with Cameron), after all.

This is all a bit more legally questionable in the UK.

Peter Cruddas is a working class East Ender who became one of the richest men in Britain through a career in, basically, legalized crime. He wouldn't know the difference between an immoral offer and a legit business proposal.

And though Jon Cruddas has a working class background and represents an East End seat, he is Cornish by birth, so probably not.
Though the name is not Cornish but rather a Northern English variant of a Scottish surname (Carruthers. Which etymologically, and apart from the final -s, is Welsh. Alright, SW Scotland Brythonic.)

Yes, that makes sense. He's the CMC guy, isn't he?

Why isn't anyone pointing out the fact that Rupert Murdoch and Cameron have fallen out lately?

True, a lot of things that we take for granted here are considered corruption in other developed nations. 80% of Americans oppose the Citizens United ruling that the extremists on SCOTUS gave us, so one can only imagine how unpopular it must be in countries with more sensible campaign finance laws.

ComRes out tonight giving Labour a 10% (!) lead. They're saying that their post-Cam Dine With Me fieldwork gave Labour a 17% (!!!!!!) lead. Although, I can't even explain how dodgy taking such a sample is.

Why do you consider Cruddas to be criminal? Any evidence?

Funny how if the polling was reversed and it was Labour 10% behind, the media'd be out buying congratulations cards for Yvette Cooper. But no, 10% and Ed's still not liked by the public apparently. As is our right-wing press.

And on the 50p rate, you only have to consider the trouble it caused for Brown-Darling when they ripped out the 10p rate.

These numbers do seem a little fantasylandish, but are nice to see all the same.
