Greggs (which the government was heaping praise on the other week for hiring people) and he responded with something along the lines of "well, I don't remember the last time I even went to Greggs anyway", so it's been dubbed the 'Pasty Tax'. The tax'll inevitably harm such shops.
Pasty's are a stereotypically working class food. This is just pushing the 'out of touch Tories' mantra.
