My latin is a bit rusty, but doesn't "bella santorum" mean "wars of saints" ?

Daughter, and I'm pretty sure "Bella" as a name is "beautiful," not "wars."

Edit: (Not that I'd be surprised if Ricky actually wanted to name his daughter "wars").

bellum, i, n means "war". "bella" as the feminine of "beautiful" is italian and doesn't have latin roots AFAIK.

1. I speak both French and Italian.

2. 30% of Italian words don't have a latin root. So, it wasn't all that implausible.

an Italian word that shares a root with a French word of the same meaning.  Anyway, it's not a criticism, I just found it ironic.

Run only if you have something to say that you think will make a difference, know it cold, and you are doing this to give it more press. If you do it well, you will gain respect in your community. That's a grand step in anyone's life. But it needs to be about beef, not ego.

Exactly.  Also, if you don't have time to really devote yourself to the cause, don't do it.  There's no point to investing time into a write-in campaign unless you're going to go all out to promote your cause.  In that case, it's just a waste of your time that you could spend doing on something meaningful.
