Unfortunately, I feel that I should drop out of the race for Vice-Chair.  Sorry guys Sad

Why?

I don't want to feel "obligated" to support my party's candidate in every race Tongue  I like my independence.  That may sound like a silly reason to drop out, but there it is.  I'd feel bad if I was Chair or Vice-chair and didn't support my party's candidate.  It'd feel like I was abandoning him/her.  But that's just me Tongue

We once had a Whip that did that in just about every election, lol.

Well damn. How do we handle this? Re-vote? Have the chair pick someone? Is X technically the VC now and just resigned, or withdrew during voting?

I think the Chair will have to pick someone when he is elected.

Undeclared for presidential caucus. (Personally, I am voting Cathcon for the presidential race, but I have always viewed endorsement voting as voting on who best represents the party as a whole. My own personal biases induce me to vote for Cathcon, but as a Liberal member I vote abstain.)

In addition, I will volunteer myself for the Vice-Chair position, but only on the condition that no one else is willing to take it. Smiley

Wolfentoad is elected Chair, Clnton1996 is elected Whip, and the Vice Chairmanship is now vacant and will have to be filled via appointment.

The platform amendment passes, but the bylaw does not as it is tied.  (So have fun finding a more efficient way to endorse people.  It's not my problem anymore, so I don't really care. Smiley)

The remaining tickets now are Keystone Phil/Tmthforu94 and Marokai Blue/Senator Duke.  The ticket with the most votes at the end of the day will win the party endorsement.

Delegates who voted for neither of those candidates may switch to one of the two tickets remaining.

Today I caucus for the Keystone Phil ticket. I suggest Dallasfan for Vice Chair. He has been with us since our JCP days.

The winners of the Liberal Party caucus and endorsement are...

Keystone Phil and Tmthforu94!

Congratulations.

This convention is now over.

I wish the new leadership much luck. Smiley
