Welcome to the game and party, Superique.  The first thing you might want to do is learn more about the Federal and regional governments by looking over the wiki.  Then maybe you can run for your local Assembly when election time comes around.  I would ask Governor Wolfentoad to help you out. Wink

In the Pacific, it's February. Smiley Of course, with the activity level we currently have, another seat could easily vacate. Tongue

Good! I'm going to take a look if i participate because I'm going to do our national exam (ENEM) here in Brazil so I may be a little bit busy! =(

I am ending my campaign for Governor and fully endorsing Scott for reelection. He has promised to end Clarence's tyrannic sending of unpleasant photographs thus earning my support.

Good sir, I have promised no such thing!  However, I thank you for your support and am glad our party will not divide in this election.

Hey, new member here, in the Pacific area. I'm certainly on the right wing of the Liberal Party , but I agree with the basic ideological tenets of the movement, and although i consider myself to be on the economic right the Whig socio-cultural platform is one I'd rather not stomach.
Anything I can do for the party in my region?

Hate to barge into the Liberal thread, but which parts of the platform of the Federalist Party (Whigs don't exist anymore; Federalists are the largest center-right party) do you disagree with?

Welcome to the party, Freefair.  One great way to promote the party to run for your region's legislature in February.  Fortunately, the Pacific has grown into a Liberal bastion the last few months, so I think your chances of winning a seat are quite fair even if your positions don't align with those on the party's platform 100%. Smiley

SJoyce, why are you trying to divert members away from our party?

Because if there's a problem with the platform I helped write I'd like to know about it.

I didn't know the Whigs had dissolved- I'm sorry Liberals but it looks like I'll be leaving your party already as the Federalists seem to be closer to my views, especially on decentralisation!! No hard feelings, we can still work together constructively on policy proposals :-)

Hopefully the Federalists won't mind if someday one of us Liberals go into their thread and try diverting people from their party.

No, I made my descision before his post, as I was about to retract, he posted, so my post appeared after his- It isn't his fault, don't blame him.

If y'all have a platform and you think that someone's reading an outdated version of the platform, go right ahead.

Oh, come on Scott. Sjyoce wasn't trying to divert your member. Your member simply had the wrong version of our platform, and he was supplying him with what is correct. I would expect you to do the same if the situation was reversed.

I would like to request your party's endorsement, btw. I will make a full speech laying out my case when the vote opens up.

The election's in only a couple weeks, I believe.  I'll hold the vote tomorrow evening.  I think it would be very appropriate for both candidates to make their case. Smiley

In preparation for the upcoming presidential race, I am stating my intention to run for the nomination of the Liberal party, as well as the nomination of any other party that would have me. It would be a a greatly appreciated measure if the party would consider me for their nomination.

You would have to register as a member of the Liberal Party in order to seek the nomination.  If we do not garner any Liberal candidates in the next several weeks, we will formally vote to endorse one of the tickets at the convention.
