Are you fluent in another language other than your native language?

     I sort of speak French, though I wouldn't really call myself fluent in it.

My native language is German and I can speak Italian too (had it for 2 years in high school).

The real test imo is whether can you understand a group of teenagers having a natural conservation amongst themselves while you listen in... if you can understand about half it, you are nearly there.

Oh dear. I'm not sure I even qualify for fluency in English then.

I'm not sure; there are different levels of fluency.  I can get by with my Spanish, but I need a lot more practice speaking before I'll be comfortable with it.

I'm also trying to learn Arabic, but that is much harder, so I haven't made any real progress with it.

Oui, je parle francais, posso parlare italiano. Of course, I don't know how to do the accents on my keyboard so they don't always come out correctly. Either way, I've spent years taking french, and had a friend from France who I used to talk to all the time. When I was younger, we had a lot of family from Italy that moved to the US, so I spoke Italian with them. I don't get to do either as often as I would like to, but I can still carry conversations in both languages.

Ehh, only slightly. I haven't used them as much as I used to, so I'm a bit rusty. There are pleanty of times I didn't make it known, just so I could listen in on others conversations. It works with spanish too, since there are quite a few similarties between spanish and italian.

I speak Thai only in the most basic way, and understand just a little more than I can speak.  Can't read it at all.  Had some experience with Spanish and French but of course it was only extremely rudimentary and now long since forgotten.

To be honest I can hardly imagine being fluent in a second language.  When Thais say to me, 'oh you've been here a long time you should speak Thai, you should read Thai', etc. or even 'can  you translate something for me', I'm really quite shocked.  It seems to me it would take years of study wholly devoted to language learning to learn a language to that level of competence.

Not fluent, but I get by pretty well in Spanish now.

My grammar is abysmal, and sometimes I have a lot of trouble understanding certain accents (Chileans are bloody ridiculous), but I can definitely pass the teenagers-in-the-park test in Argentina or Uruguay, and a copuple of days ago I managed to keep up fully with a Spanish guy in a rather long argument about the Basque country. Obviously I lost the argument, but being able to participate was a bit of a confidence boost.

My written spanish is, of course, awful, but that's OK with me for now.

Anyway, voted no, but as others have said, it depends on what you count as fluency.
