Somewhere in the Pacific Northwest might be nice. Otherwise maybe Colorado or New Mexico.

1. Montana
2. Minnesota
3. Vermont
4. New York
5. Maine

$10,000,000 Mansion with swimming pool overlooking the Los Angeles Basin. Followed by a penthouse in Midtown Manhattan. Then probably Miami Beach. After that I'll go with the penthouse at the Lake Point Tower in Chicago. Rounding out #5 will be the largest, most luxurious apartment I can get on the CU-Boulder campus.

I do like Washington and it's among the top 5 I would consider (don't like their tax system though) but how Vermont is turning out does appeal to me

Hmm...very interesting question. High on my list of potential places to live are Boulder, New Orleans, San Antonio, and Miami Beach. And I'd always be happy in New York if costs were irrelevant. Though I am somewhat reluctant about all of those places for a number of reasons. Too small, too touristy, too trendy, etc. That leaves the door open to completely different places like staying in Philly or going to Vermont or something. I think I can narrow it down to:

1. Colorado
2. Louisiana
3. New York
4. Texas
5. Florida

6. Pennsylvania
7. New Jersey
8. Vermont
9. California
10. Oregon

I couldn't help myself...

BC
AK(Anchorage or Juneau, not the actual cold part)
WA
WY(Only Jackson Hole)
UT(SLC and near Little Cottonwood Canyon)
OR
MT
CO(Too many tourists, not sure if I would like living there)
CA(North CA barely makes into desirable, Orange county and bordering counties are in the bottom 5 "states" )
And that's about it.

Virginia
North Carolina
Florida
Colorado
Connecticut

And whoever complained about tourists in Colorado, there aren't if you live here. Virtually no one comes to Denver and in the ski resorts, if you're living there, you won't really run into them, there's a class system in the Vail area haha.

I can't understand why anyone would want to live here. There is literally nothing to do. It's like the South of the Northeast.

Uh...I don't know where you live in PA, but where I am there's more to do than I could possibly imagine taking advantage of.
