Iceland: Left-Green Movement - 10.9%

Sweden: Centre Party - 6.6%

Regarding Canada: Why is it that you dislike the Dippers?

Iceland has a new Social Liberal and green party called Bright Future which I think would be much closer to your views than their fairly classical left wing Left Greens.

The Swedish Centre Party has turned Libertarian recently, so that's likely a bad match. Your problem in Sweden would be, that there aren't really anything between the Moderates and SAP, since the small centre-right parties are right of the Moderates on most economic and labour market issues.

QS? LOL, Ok...

For the record, I support the NDP in every province. In Quebec, I support the extremely fringe UCQ.

They seem like a good fit with  his general sympathy with left leaning separatist parties. They are to the right of Galician Left Alternative.

I'm always a bit skeptical of these new parties which seem really nice and sweet but often turn up to be useless moderate hero parties. I don't know the ins-and-outs of BF, and from what I know about them they're pretty good, but for some reason I feel closer to the Left Greens.

I'm well aware of the Centre's disastrous libertarian/urban social liberal twist, and I don't really mind it all that much. I don't like the Greens much because of their Eurosceptic positions, and I generally like the current centre-right government (whereas the centre-left opposition seems pretty useless). I would probably vote for the Greens if I started to dislike the centre-right government, but it's all a moot point.

Are you sure? Even for me they are too left-wing, although I'd cheerfully vote for them if I lived in Galicia, specially after this:

Italy's SEL is pretty left-wing for me, but like AGE they're the only decent option on the ballot. The Socialists, no offense, are horrible and have some pretty serious re-thinking to do before I'll treat them seriously. The BNG is pretty sectarian and very useless.

What I wrote about AGE holds true again here. QS is much more left-wing than I am and they have a lot of horrible True Leftists or sectarian Franco leftie separatists, but what other options are there? The PQ is the best major option but they're boring, incompetent and useless. The Greens are dead. And there's obviously no way in hell that I'm voting for the mafia's party or Cack. Besides, in the current context, it's the only party which we can be certain isn't in bed with the mafia.

As for the NDP, I don't really dislike them all that much although under Mulcair they're really boring and stale (the same could be said about the Liberals, obviously, especially with Biebertrudeau - in fact, Harpo is the only one who isn't boring but that's because he's an horrible reactionary). They do have a lot of annoying and ingratiating partisans who often seem to hate the Liberals more than they hate the far more dangerous reactionary Purgatories, but I suppose the same can be said of many other parties (I'm well aware that many Liberal hacks, which I am not, are almost as annoying and ingratiating morons). I would vote for the NDP in any marginal Purgatory-NDP riding, but in my riding, a vote for the NDP is basically a vote for the horrible Purgatory incumbent.

Ah the mafia factor. I was wondering why a federal Grit would vote for anyone like QS Tongue

As an Anglo I feel obligated to vote Liberal in Quebec out of self-interest.

If you like the current Swedish government the logical thing would be to vote for the Moderates, since they are the most, well... moderate (or centrist) party in the government.
My point was that The Centre Party is currently to their right, not just on the urban social liberal stuff, but on economics in general and labour market issues.

May I suggest the Swedish Peoples Party in Finland. They are a Liberal Party, more than Centre and are unequivocally pro European. They're not separatist either (which is clearly an issue for you). They're who I'd vote for over there.

The Australian Democrats are largely non-existent these days, I can see you being a small l-liberal voter in Australia, voting for the likes of Malcolm Turnbull, although I can see you voting for Labor against the likes of Tony Abbott.

Yeah, separatism and nationalism in general are an issue for me, probably because I'm Spanish. Yeah, they seem a nice fit, will change that. Thanks!

Also, wow, I didn't think I'd be so transparent Tongue

Well, I was searching for a centrist party in Australia. So I'd be more of a swing voter between Labour's right and Liberal's wets? Thanks for the info.

I'm just saying who I'd vote for most often, not what party I'd actually join (I rarely would except for primaries or equivalents).  I'm also just basing this off Wikipedia descriptions where I'm unfamiliar with the politics of the country in question.

Argentina: Anybody but Kirchner and assorted Commies.
Australia: No.  If the Liberals repudiate their earlier gun policy I might reconsider.
Austria: Team Stronach
Belgium: Libertarian, Direct, Democratic and Reformist Movement
Canada: Conservative Party
  • Alberta: Wildrose
  • British Columbia: Liberals
  • Manitoba: Progressive Conservatives
  • New Brunswick: Progressive Conservatives
  • Newfoundland and Labrador: Progressive Conservatives
  • Nova Scotia: Progressive Conservatives or Liberals
  • Ontario: Progressive Conservatives
  • Prince Edward Island: Liberals
  • Quebec: Coalition for Quebec's Future
  • Saskatechewan: Saskatchewan Party
  • Yukon: Yukon Party
Chile: Rightists
Czech Republic: Civic Democratic Party
Denmark: Liberal Alliance
  • Faroe Islands: People's Party or Progress
  • Greenland: Solidarity
Finland: Centre Party
  • Åland: Not enough to go on based on Wiki descriptions.
France: No
Germany: Free Democratic Party or Alternative for Germany
Greece: Recreate Greece/Drasi/Liberal Alliance or Democratic Alliance
Hungary: No idea, although renamed-Communists are out of the question.
Iceland: Right-Green People's Party
India: lol
Ireland: Fianna Fáil
  • Northern Ireland: (Out with fascist occupiers! Tongue ).  Sinn Féin in general elections, Alliance for Assembly, though I'd consider the relaunched Tories or Fianna Fáil if they contest it.
Israel: Emigration
Italy: No idea.  Probably for whomever is more amusing between Berlusconi and Grillo.  Anyone but renamed-PCI also works.
Japan: Your Party I think...  I might go for DPJ last election if they're the only ones who oppose Abe's greenbacker retardation
Mexico: lol
Netherlands: VVD
New Zealand: ACT
Norway: Freedom Party
Portugal: CDS-PP
Russia: Yabloko
South Africa: Democratic Alliance
South Korea: Saenuri
Spain: People's Party or rightist regionalists
Sweden: Centre Party
Switzerland: Swiss People's Party (Don't like everything about them, but they're the only party to favor restoring the gold standard and to oppose further gun control)
Taiwan: KMT
United Kingdom: UKIP or anyone but Labour
United States: Libertarian or Republican with certain candidates/circumstances
  • Puerto Rico: Popular Democratic Party
Venezuela: Anybody but dead guy & friends

I only considered parties that are currently respresented in the national parliament of each country.
"None of those." means that I  don't have a tendency to vote for one of those parties.

Argentina: Maybe the Unión Cívica Radical
Australia: Maybe the Australian Greens
Austria: Maybe Die Grünen
Belgium: Maybe Open Vld/Mouvement Réformateur
Brazil: None of those.
Bulgaria: None of those.
Canada: Liberal Party of Canada
Chile: Partido por la Democracia
China, Republic of: Mínzhǔ Jìnbù Dǎng (Progressive Democratic Party)
Colombia: Partido Liberal Colombiano
Czech Republic: Maybe LIDEM – liberální demokraté
Denmark: Det Radikale Venstre
Finland: Maybe the Vihreä liitto
France: Mouvement Démocrate (I wish the Parti Radical de Gauche would finally emancipate itself from the Parti Socialiste.)
Germany: None of those. (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen are hypocrites and they didn't do a good job when they were in the government.)
Greece: None of those. (I'd consider DIMAR for a protest vote though.)
Hong Kong: Civic Party
Hungary: Demokratikus Koalíció
Ireland, Republic of: None of those.
Israel: Hatnua
Italy: Centro Democratico
Japan: Minshutō (Democratic Party of Japan)
Korea, Republic of: Minjudang (Democratic Party)
Malaysia: None of those. (I don't support the Parti Keadilan Rakyat because they ally themselves with a party that wants to turn Malaysia into an Islamic state.)
Mexico: Movimiento Ciudadano
Netherlands: Democraten 66
Norway: Venstre
Peru: Perú Posible
Poland: Maybe the Ruch Palikota, but Janusz Palikot is an egomaniac.
Portugal: None of those.
Romania: None of those.
Serbia: None of those. (I don't support the LDP because they ally themselves with a party that wants to reintroduce parliamentary monarchy into Serbia.)
Slovakia: None of those.
Spain: Maybe Unión, Progreso y Democracia, but I don't like Rosa Diez' authoritarian leadership style, and I think that they emphasize centralism too much.
Sweden: Folkpartiet liberalerna
Switzerland: None of those.
United Kingdom: Liberal Democrats (I'm not happy about their coalition with the Tories either. However, I hope that they will listen to the majority of their members and form a coalition with Labour after the next election.)
United States: Maybe the Democratic Party, but since they're a big tent, it depends a lot on the individual candidate.
