Huntsman would be the best choice.

Huntsman. Wouldn't shock me if he was Hillary's replacement no matter who wins.

McCain's too old.  My gut feeling is that he will be retiring from the Senate after his term.

What about an out of the box choice like Ileana Ros-Lehtinen?

Huntsman, while the most obvious choice, has seemed pretty whiny and unhelpful.

Lugar?  Petraeus?  Any particular reason to rule out Condi?

We're talking about Secretary of State here. No sane person would use gay marriage support to determine who gets this position.
Then again, this is Mitt Romney.

Huntsman seems like a good choice. Bolton does not -- too controversial. Lugar isn't bad, either.

This is pretty much like discussing who's going to be Gingrich's Secretary of State.

I still think Chris Christie would be at least offered Attorney General.

Oh yeah, forgot about Christie.  I guess it depends on whether he'd rather run for reelection as governor.  In McDonnell's case, that's not an issue, since he has the 1-term limit anyway.
