Just sayin...the guy is like a political superhero. Although if there's one guaranteed way to ruin a political career, it's being the Governor of New Jersey. I don't want to see him toiling away at nothing as a Senator though. Regardless, this guy is amazing. I've never ceased to be wildly impressed since he showed up and little publicity gold-mines like this, the Conan thing, the Facebook donation, living in the projects, massive crime reduction, and the shoveling are putting Newark back on the map for all the right reasons.

Yep. By the way, anyone who hasn't seen Street Fight should rectify that as soon as possible.

Yeah, I always thought he seemed like a legitimately good person. This pretty much just confirms that. I'm not sure if the U.S. Presidency deserves him.

I don't think there is any necessary correlation between being a good person and a good president.  LBJ was a horrible person and, despite Vietnam, saved the USA.  GWB and Reagan may have been 'better' (in a noble savage sort of way) than Clinton...

He has always seemed like a nice guy, though I sure don't want the President running into burning buildings.  Not very well defined politically so I can't say what the chances are that I'd vote for him.

Also...um...

Well, Christie better take the Veep slot under Romney. Come 2013, if he is up against this guy, he is f**cked.

If Cory were Republican, I'd imagine this would have sewn up the veepstake slot for him.

I'd so vote for this guy for President. Possibly over Rand Paul in 2016 (if that's the matchup)

Unless you're a Republican.

This. While it seems like common human decency on paper it can be very scary.

I wouldn't say Christie was unbeatable, but it depends on whether it's Mitt or Bar' in the White House.

Christie can crush anyone though, of course. Wink

Absolutely. Jersey is way beyond done with Mr. Presidential-wannabe. Christie stopped being Governor less than halfway through his term. If the Democrats don't nominate a more Republican candidate than Christie (a la Corzine Von Wall St) it'll be an embarrassingly easy incumbent topple. Though I wouldn't for a SECOND put it past Christie to pull a Romney and not run again in order to preserve his legacy for his definite Presidential run.

Plus, North Jersey is even further up Booker's ass than he is up their collective ass.

Of course.

Can you imagine Christie trying to run into a burning building?
