I'm sure I've been around 0.3 my freshman year of college, or at least approaching there. In the past five years it's probably something like 0.17 or so.

no, did not even black out.  I had been drinking heavily multiple times a week for multiple months so my tolerance was sky-high.

If that didn't interfere with my employment it'd be a good thing to do in the leadup to an event like Dude Fest.

Achieving tolerance to a substance shouldn't be anyone's goal.
I'm guessing mine was in modest .25-.3 range, as a senior in high school.

I wonder if Dude Fest results in an at least >1% boost in business for Indianapolis liquor stores.

perhaps you could write an econometric dissertation that researches this question.

FYI one of the dumbest alcohol laws I've ever heard of: In Indiana liquor stores can legally sell non-alcoholic drinks (aka chasers), but only if they are sold warm. They can refrigerate their beer, but any soft drink bottles need to be left outside of that.

I mean seriously, what is the point of that?

Never measured it. I can't say the most drinks I've ever had, mostly due to be too inebriated to remember/count them. I'm guessing no more than 10 in an evening.

Something embarrassing I'm sure. Either out of a misplaced sense of macho or suppression of depression, Ive gone to the brink many times. I suppose contenders would be the time I drank 50 10 oz drafts in 2.5 hours or when I drank a liter of booze and a 12 pack over course of a few hours.

Maybe 2.5 ‰ or so when I was 15-17, during a few parties where we used to play some drinking games and got too much of the hard stuff.

No one could ever hit 2.5%. You'd be dead well before you were halfway there. 0.25 is 0.25%, not 2.5%.

Yup.

Every newspaper report says something like "Man crashed car into a wall, guy had 2‰"

I don't know if there is a European standard, but, yeah, that's how we do it in Sweden at least.

I've no idea. I think my brother hit 2.9 promille once (so 0.29%). We know because he was taken in by the police. Tongue

I don't think I've ever been on any astounding levels.
