Use this thread to post your result maps from election simulation games such as "President Forever," "Political Machine," "Election Day," or any other election sim you prefer to use.  This thread is intended for the 2012 scenario; we can start another thread for other scenarios if there's enough interest.

Popular vote data (both national and statewide) is optional but encouraged.

Here's a "President Forever" map from this morning:

National Result: Romney 51.8%, Obama 46.3%, Johnson 1.9%

During this run, I played as Libertarian Gary Johnson and skipped through the campaign without doing anything.  "Economy" is turned on; this seems to help Romney in general.  A previous run with "Economy" off had Obama winning narrowly.  Interestingly, Johnson actually got 7.1% of the vote in Alabama and 5.5% in Florida.

Let me make an addendum:  notice that Obama got <50% in Ohio and New Mexico.  In Ohio, the result was 49.2% Obama, 47.9% Romney, and 2.9% Johnson.  In New Mexico, it was 49.4% Obama, 46.6% Romney, and 3.9% Johnson.  Johnson's showing in those states may have helped Obama by siphoning votes from Romney.  In all the states that Romney won, it was by majority.  In other words, if it weren't for Johnson, Obama still would have lost, but Romney might have won Ohio and/or New Mexico.

Everyone here talks about the game so I just bought it. How do you play as Johnson? (I bought the 2012 version)

I think the 2012 version includes Johnson as a Libertarian candidate.  Under "new game," set the Libertarian to "human."  You should be able to play as him.

Oh, and do you know if it's possible to buy it from Spain?

Here's the link to the latest version:

http://270soft.com/us-election-games/president-election-game-2012/

Payment is handled through RegNow or Paypal, so I imagine you'd be fine ordering from Spain.  If you can't order it, e-mail 270soft and they'll let you know what to do.

It's a great performance, particularly in the Northeast and Midwest.  I assume you were playing as Romney.  What was the difficulty?

Hard, surprisingly, this is essentially the best result I've gotten on this  game on that difficulty excluding my domination with Paul Ryan. Smiley

Obama/Biden - 445EV - 56.4%
Romney/Ryan - 93 EV - 42.0%
Others - 0EV - 1.6%

It was actually very close until... lol the second week of September, then I started to pull away. I released positive ads, then I won 2 debates, tied 1 and Biden beat Ryan... I smacked him around on his integrity... and the final national numbers had it at 53-40...

Try e-mailing 270soft.  I can't imagine they wouldn't have Libertarian as a playable party in 2012.  You might have to create a custom character.

I'm not entirely familiar with the layout for the 2012 version.  What are the options on the title screen?
