I had an infection in the cartilage in my rib cage which pushed against my lungs and heart causing immense pain. I was treated for suspected heart problems for a good hour before things were diagnosed.

I had Hepatitis when I was 10, almost killed me.  I don't remember much of it (thank your God), but I do remember some.  I got headaches so bad my nose would bleed.  Could have been all the cocaine though...hey, it was 1983, everybody was doin' it!

Migraines.  Thankfully, they went away once I grew up, but every month or so when I was a pre-teen and a teenager I got a blinding headache in the evening that forced me into a dark quiet room for a hour or two and then go throw up, which usually made things feel much better all around.  Yup, I got to "enjoy" having hangovers without getting drunk!  Probably one reason I never took up drinking.  I didn't want more hangovers.

I had the same thing. Haven't had one in about 4 years now, which has been nice. I do drink though and incidentally don't often get very bad hangovers. Definitely none that have kicked my ass like a migraine.

kidney stone - imaging one of your testicles placed in a vice and being torqued CONSTANTLY (without a single moment of relief) with ever increasing pressure, for HOURS on end.  That is EXACTLY how a kidney stone feels.  The kidney is basically plugged by the stone and fluid pressure starts to increasingly build up until the stone has passed into the bladder.  The nerve that picks up this pressure runs to the testicle on same side of the affected kidney, so the pain is felt in the testicle.

A severe case of strep throat coupled with (this was the probably the worst part) horrendously painful earaches in both ears. I wanted to kill myself.

This actually happened yesterday.

For whatever reason, I wasn't feeling good at all. The stomach pains I felt were the most intense and horrifying pains I've ever felt in my entire life. It literally felt like my insides were on fire. I had the runs real bad and in between, it would just. f**king. hurt really bad.

It's gone now, but I was legitimately scared.

Sad  Sorry to hear that. Quite prevalent in my direct family, and I have a holy fear of it.

The worst thing I've ever suffered trough was probably a (*googles*) Inguinal Hernia when I was just about 4 years old. Don't remember anything about it though, so perhaps it wasn't all that bad. Other than that I had a rather nasty fall when I was 10 or so which nearly tore off my lower lip, but even that was more of a 'look shocked at all the blood' type of moment than one of excruciating pain. On the whole I've been spared any real pain so far. Let's hope my luck continues.

I dunno, had a really nasty case of chicken pox age 4, first case of strep throat age 7 was pretty awful too, and of course severe peanut allergies are never fun.
