I would strongly encourage the refraining from engaging in conductor un becoming of Senate decorum when engaging in debate on the Senate floor. This applies to both sitting Senators and respected statemen who aren't Senators but are engaging in the discourse on the matter of a pending bill.

Senator NC Yankee,
President Pro-Tempore.

Now can I please get a god damn sponsor for this damn bill. It takes 72 hours to assign sponsorship to someone.

If I don't have a volunteer to be sponsor in the next 24 hours I am trashing this on the grounds that it was introduced illegally.

Yes I can do that, I think. Just someone volunteer so we don't have to find out. Evil

Senators have 72 hours to object to Senator Scott's assumption of Sponsorship.

I hope you aren't at your limit of three yet. Tongue

The other two sponsorless bills better see someone else step forward. You can't let the Senator from the NE do all the work/hog all the fun (depending on your perspective). Angry

I do apologize for the hogging.  I have a thing for stray bills, is all. Tongue

Oh no. That was strategic to strike both the inactives compassion and anger at the same time to get them take action and do there damn jobs.

I doubt any one has any objection...

Can I move to bypass the 72 hours or simply reduce it? I don't think we need three damn days for this...we'll be clogged worse then Christie's toilet after he returns from a Mexican joint

There is no way to waive this particular 72 hours. For both withdrawals and assumptions of sponsorship, 72 hours must be given to object, and I didn't include it in the UC provision because I was concerned about passage as it was last year.

Way back in the day, I was giving only 24 hours and Bacon "I have patented violation of the OSPR" King said I couldn't do that.

We can continue to debate amendments and even vote on amendments while that 72 hours is winding down, that is legal.

Seeing no objection, Scott has assumed sponsorship.

Mr. President, do you support my amendment or wish to make any changes?

I'm surprised this didn't come to a vote yet. Tongue

I have lost my horns, and I can't do much till they are re-acquired. Tongue

Senators have 24 hours to object to Senator Scott's amendment.

Senator Clarence, is that to be interpreted as an objection to the amendment?

Well technically you were explaining a previous post, since that post pre-dates the objection period, rather then coming after it therefore I will accept the objection.

Amendment vote, probably tomorrow.
