1. Democratic Socialist.

2. MSNBC, but this is by process of elimination more than outright preference. Fox is terrible, but CNN is, I would argue, worse than Fox, just by virtue of not even really trying to be anything. Fox's operation is more respectable, but still evil. Otherwise, Google, Wikipedia, Huffington Post.

For Canadian news, The Toronto Star. For the UK, The Guardian. The Economist is also moderately entertaining/informative.

3. Atheist, but no chip on my shoulder or need to throw it in people's faces.

4. No, I dislike guns but loathe excessive gun ownership in particular. I'm more personally afraid of them than anything else, when it comes to my own handling of them.
