I usually forget to do so after leaving the club and just realized I still have mine from last night on, but then usually take it off. One exception was at Dude Fest when people were leaving them on them the entire weekend and thus many had the ones not from just from the main events but after show events and some people had as many as six at the end. I had four.

Yeah, I've never gotten a bracelet at a club, just a stamp.

The only place I've ever gone to that puts bracelets on people is a hospital.

Wait, paper wristbands from clubs isn't a universal thing? They're ubiquitous throughout Georgia and New Orleans. I don't bother taking them off when I leave, and usually keep them on until I go to sleep that night (though sometimes I'll forget until the next morning).

The only people I've ever met that leave them on beyond three steps from the door are people that wanted to prove in class the next day that they're badass for going out on a weekday.

Also, this...almost everywhere I went in NC had bracelets.

Usually the next day.  I find stamps are more irritating.

Paper bracelets are definitely a thing. I don't go clubbing much these says but now that I am single I could. Springfield is a great party scene. I take the bracelets off before I shower but usually leave them on while sleeping/doing other things.

I usually take them off as soon as I get home for the night (if not before). I don't like unnecessary stuff on me when I'm trying to sleep.

When I was in college, I actually ordered a bunch of them online for cheap so I wouldn't have to pay to get into some of the places.

To answer your question, once I got home for the night.

I went to a bar on Cinco de Mayo that was giving out wristbands to people under 21 to signify they weren't allowed to drink. For obvious reasons the system did not deter my underage cohorts from imbibing.

Most clubs here give you a stamp.  Wristbands are generally from club promoters who cruise around the casinos and the Strip itself.

I woke up one morning with a bruise on my cheek, which didn't hurt for some reason.  Then I realized that I had slept on my forearm for at least a while, and the stamp had transferred to my face.

That sounds like it deliberate in its incompetence.

Not that it's comparable over here (with nobody really caring about the few alcohol laws we have), but back in high school, when we organized parties to pay for our graduation trip to Greece, we had 3 colors of wristbands, <16 (no alcohol), 16-17 (beer/wine), 18+ (everything).

It was obviously very efficient alcohol control.
