The thread about the 1936 Literary Digest poll would be truly epic. But maybe not as epic as the anti-Lincoln thread in 1860.

After the election I'm sure there would be threads saying "Thanks gals, the Democrats will never win again because of your votes!"

1860; I'd love to see how the 4-way election would play out on here.

Would the secessionists form their own forum for the 5 years after? Tongue

It'd be a sub-forum.

It'd be a sub-forum.

Much of the debate about the sub-forum would be whether it should be a child board under the "International Elections" board or have its own separate board.

And whether or not US elections should be moved to the International Elections board, and whether it should be renamed the CS Election Atlas Forum

1936 would be so much fun -- polling data, except for one random new outfit named Gallup, shows Landon with a mild victory, and then on Election Night Roosevelt pulls out a gigantic victory. It'd be like if Rasmussen was revealed to have had a mild Democratic slant in 2010 (never mind everyone else).
