Phew, doing the medal tally for that last round took over an hour. A particularly interesting one, though, to trawl through games-by-games. Finland, for example, got 4 of it's golds at Helsinki in 1952.. where they only got two other Gold medals at their home games. After that, and beforehand, they were pretty much not on the scene at all. Pre-Barcelona, Hungary had a LOT of silvers and barely any golds, and Poland still has none. NZ thumps Australia on gold, but the Aussies have a big bag of bronzes to jump above them, and the USA are well below the Canadians. Also, Czechoslovakia won heaps of medals early, and then absolutely nothing post-war until both the Czechs and Slovaks won medals in Atlanta.


Anyway, my vote this time round:

Don't really disagree with that since I find most Olympic sports boring The ones I like best are not only eliminated, but are not really what I would consider "Olympic" sports, like Football or Tennis.

I do enjoy Gymnastics, Athletics and Diving but unfortunately 2 of them will be ousted pretty soon
