I think North Carolina would go D before Montana in 2012

North Carolina would go D before Montana or Arizona. I'm doubtful Obama could win AZ or MT unless Romney implodes. Florida is going to be a tough fight too.

No way, the election will be close, AZ, MT, FL will for sure go to Romney.
OH, VA, NH, IA, CO could go either way

No, although it's a possible outcome. I guess you think the West is really going to come through for Obama this time?

I still tend to think NC and MO (and possibly IN) go Democratic before MT and AZ but we'll see.

You kind of lost me when I saw Florida, Montana, Arizona in the wrong colors.

While theoretically possible, it's certainly not the most likely.

The eastern half of the US mimics a very likely result. The western half displays trends that will manifest in 2016 & 2020.
