Two posters have >50,000 (BRTD and Lewis Trondheim) and Al is closing in on 50,000.

BRTD and Al registered in 2003 and Lewis registered in 2004, so is it possible that one (or more) of these guys will stick around to reach a million? Or will someone else within 5 years?

You're off by one order of magnitude.

They have 50,000 not 500,000.

But I voted yes, because I can see you hitting the million mark.

It took me a year and a half to get to 5,000. So in January of 2014, I should have 10,000. I should reach 1,000,000 by the year 2312.....but something tells me my math is just a little bit off Wink.

If everyone kept posting at their overall average post rate indefinitely, then BRTD reaches 100,000 posts in early 2017 (since he's currently just over 20 posts/day).  I think the next to get there would be Kal, who'd make it in mid-2018 (since he's actually at over 30 posts/day, though has more ground to make up).  But I think both of them have slowed down since their earlier days, so it'll probably take longer.

Of course, it would take centuries to reach 1,000,000 posts!  Wink

Yeah 100,000.  Al will, because he is a moderator.  Lewis might, because he's in good with them.  But I doubt BRTD will.

I don't see anyone getting even 100,000 in the remotely near future (<10 years)

Don't you mean 100,000?

Still voted no - it's taken 8 years for BRTD and Lewis to get there.

I'll hit 100,000 in a bit over 20 years.
