Romney has consolidated Republicans and is probably leading with independents; as I also suspected, the SSM announcement didn't mean anything.

Well, around 6% of those surveyed will now vote against him. It's not huge, but it is a fair sized group. And for those people who "changed their mind in some other way," I'd suspect a lot of them were people who are now just not going to vote. And that's not great news for Obama.

Nether candidate benefits but Obama probably has an edge.

I don't trust this poll though given it's partisan connections though; even though it may very well be correct. Therefore, I wouldn't put much weight into this poll at all.

At this point a tie favors President Obama. The states that he loses he lose big in contrast (on the whole) to those that he wins narrowly -- but he wins more such states.
