It's March 2007.  John Edwards announces that, for personal reasons, he will not be seeking the Presidency.

How do things shake out from here?  The block of voters Edwards attracted could swing both IA and NH different ways.  The press would be desperate to elevate one of the second tiers into a competitor in the Clinton/Obama slugfest (Biden?  Richardson?  Dodd let's not get ridiculous).

Lol certainly not Dodd. Probably Richardson, he is moderate and Hispanic. The media loves that sort of thing.

Probably Richardson, and with Edwards out of the race, Clinton might eek out a win in Iowa.
