He is actually a tragic case when you think about it, since he's been raised in such a restrictive cult he's whole life and has had the idea that almost all Gentiles are these vile, unclean people who want him dead (unless they also hate gays) and that all Jews that aren't part of the cult aren't "true" Jews and are sellouts and traitors no better than the Gentiles. It's worse than the Amish actually since they would never allow something like Rumspringa.

That's why I said that things would become so much better for him if he accepted Christ and undid this. Truly knowing and following Jesus Christ instead of religion and legalism is a freeing thing for so many people, and this includes many people actually raised in Christian homes that were still more obsessed with following some specific church or legalistic rules than Jesus.
