Here we go, first Italian match ! Smiley

I guess it's a good thing we face Spain, Italy tends to do better when faced with strong opponents than when facing Slovakia. Tongue I'm not too deluded regarding the likelihoods, but I'm still crossing fingers.

Forza azzurri ! Cheesy

We already missed a golden occasion a few minutes ago with Ballottelli. Spain had its good occasions too. So, it's a fun and quite balanced match, which is pretty good for us considering that we are playing agains the former champion.

Meh, such a short-lived joy. Tongue

But in fairness, it was a decent performance. We managed to give serious problem to the incumbent champion (even though the end of the match was clearly in Spain's favor) and if we play this way in the next two matches we can have an easy way to qualification. Promising. Smiley

Despite having not one, but two satellite packages (one for France, another for Italy) I found no channel broadcasting the mathc. Sad

How is it going ?

A pretty balanced first half. Hard to see how it will end up, as both teams had their moments.

Looks like, for once, Italy didn't suffer from its legendary bad luck. Wink

Balotelli's goal was truly impressive, and even though we didn't score many goals this proves we can do a good job. Let's surprise everybody again, like in 2006 ! Smiley

I feel a bit sad for Croats though. They were clearly better than Spain this time, and the referee wasn't exactly fair toward them (don't know if it's bias or a genuine mistake, let's assume the later).

Now, let's hope we get France to beat once again. Grin

France-Sweden has been pretty boring so far. Both teams seem quite inactive.

Good job from the Swedes, they definitely dominated the second part of the match and got the victory they deserved. It's almost a shame they got eliminated. But to be fair, it's mostly France that pathetically sucked.

Still, too bad we don't get a good France-Italy. Tongue

Deserved win for Portugal, they clearly prevailed throughout the end of the match. Still, it would have been fun to see CR win or at least bring this to the supplemental time.

I generally support Germany, but this time it would be awesome if Greece won (wouldn't bet on it, though).

It's really a miracle it's only 1-0 so far... 90% of the game has been played on the Greek side, and their goalkeeper sucks balls. I expect at least two more German goals now that the Greeks are demoralized.

Fantastic game. Really beautiful. By far the best I've seen so far in this Euro. It was really a nailbiter all along.

And WE WON ! Cheesy I don't want to seem boastful, but we are a quite great team. We had our bad moments (with Balotelli's great ability to spoil every occation) but we dominated the game in terms of ball possession and of shots on target. It was a deserved win and something very encouraging for our chances.

Now, Germany. It's a classic, so I expect a great match whoever wins (and I hope the historical tradition of Italy being the only team able to beat Germany will persist).

FORZA AZZURRI ! Cheesy

Not too scared of you considering the not all that impressive performance, but then again Germany has also been bad at converting goal scoring opportunities (until the 2nd half of the last game, at least).

Should be fun!

Italy is never impressive, but always (well, often) effective. Wink

I'm rooting for Portugal, actually. Spain has won enough in these last years, and for what I've seen they are clearly below their past levels.
