Hopefully Donovan didn't know about this and (if he didn't) isn't hurt too much by it.  He seemed like a top-notch candidate.  That being said, I suppose Esty could probably still keep the seat Democratic.

He also has been under fire for being a member of a redistricting panel which, if he won the primary, would have drawn the very district he was going to compete in. The Democrats should let him keep his little Meriden fiefdom and choose someone else, ideally Esty.

I don't know how much this will hurt Donovan. Donovan has a big name in the liberal/progressive community. Could open up a door for another Dem to make a serious primary challenge at him.

Yeah but its still a competitive district though where either party(D or R) can win.

Yeah but its still a competitive district though where either party(D or R) can win.

Sure. Donovan couldn't have changed that by being on the panel. But it certainly does not look good.
