Yes, I also have an alert on my phone that goes off even if my phone is silent. It's pretty nifty, but it's only set to go off during a Severe Thunderstorm Warning or Tornado Warning.

I got the free Weatherbug app on my phone, mainly for the radar.  The warning feature sucks - it pushes warnings every 15 minutes, which, from a severe weather perspective is pretty crappy.
