Ron Paul's campaign has been deserted by his own son- so it's over.

When you've finally gotten the support of the tinfoil hat club, you have unity.

There goes that independent bid which could have shaken things up.

Ron Paul supporters have always been cynical of Rand in general. Either way Ron Paul can be proud that before he retired he was able to get a large amount of disengaged  teenagers involved in questioning the politics of Washington and being politically critical of their candidates.

Rand is dead to me. Justin Amash 2016!

Pick one from this list:
Feingold/
Gravel/
Lynch/
Kucinich/
Tester/
Webb/
Baldacci/
Freudenthal/
Richardson/

And match with one from this one:
/Amash
/Flake
/Duncan
/Paul
/Haley
/Weld
/Johnson

Or switch the two lists around depending on your partisan preference.

Hopefully his father does so too, thereby ending the Paul cult once and for all.

Didn't Ron Paul make it clear he wouldn't endorse Romney because of the Neo-Con feel of Romney's foreign policy?

Yeah, it's pretty unlikely that he will, but it would be quite amusing if he did.

I wish Libertas were still around here....back in 2010, he was to Rand Paul what Winfield is to Romney....well, maybe not quite. Oh, and he loathed Romney as much as he did Obama, and that's saying something.

Don't most Ron Paul supporters identify themselves as independents? I don't understand why people assume that Ron Paul supporters would actually support Romney. Ron Paul supports hate Mitt Romney pro-war aggressive foreign policy just as much as they hate Obama's big government spending. In fact I remember hearing a poll that said that if the election came down to Romney vs Obama most Paul supporters wouldn't even vote

It's a little late for that.  The Paulbots gained sentience a few weeks ago.

If Paul endorsed Romney, the movement would lose its figurehead. Nothing more.

Using phrases such as "Paultards" and "far out" isn't going to help you get votes, especially when the person you're soliciting votes for is considered by many within the movement to be just as bad as the other option.

Why don't we stop fooling ourselves?
 The game is over,
 Over,
Over.

No good times, no bad times,
 There's no times at all,
 Just The New York Times,
 Sitting on the windowsill
 Near the flowers.

We might as well be apart.
 It hardly matters,
 We sleep separately.

And drop a smile passing in the hall
 But there's no laughs left
 'Cause we laughed them all.
 And we laughed them all
 In a very short time.

Time
 Is tapping on my forehead,
 Hanging from my mirror,
 Rattling the teacups,
 And I wonder,
 How long can I delay?
 We're just a habit
 Like saccharin.

And I'm habitually feelin' kinda blue.

But each time I try on
 The thought of leaving you,
 I stop...
I stop and think it over

This is further evidence that Rand Paul is nothing like his father.

Expected

I also expect Ron to give Romney somewhat of an endorsement - his son actually has a shot at winning the nomination, so he's going to do what he can to make sure that happens. It makes sense, considering how well he treated Romney during the primary.

Ron will NOT be giving any endorsements to ANYONE ELSE. That's basically who he is as a person.

Winfield speaks what the Romney campaign must be thinking.

The reason Ron Paul treated Romney better than the other candidates was very simple. Ron Paul stated that he disagreed with nearly all the epublicans candidates on foreign policy/other economic issues but guys like Santorum and Gingrich were the type of politicans who wouldn't even listen to his ideas whiles he stated that him and Romney could have open conversations and Romney would actually listen to him even though they disagreed on nearly everything. That's the key concept, having a man potentially in office that's willing to listen to the people around him on foreign policy and other issues instead of the other repub candidates with hardline stances is crucial.

Meh, Rand Paul never really appealed to me. Christie, Schweitzer, Cuomo or Daniels 2016.
