My partner Michael will be in hospital for a corrective procedure on Thursday. It is estimated to take four to six hours. He underwent surgery as a baby and lost part of his intestines and is heavily scarred. The operation is to help fix the scarring and to investigate the effects of the surgery. I know that the risk to him is minimal and that you are more likely to be hit by a bus, but he may require a blood transfusion as the surface area involved is fairly large. Naturally I’m a little worried Sad

I’ll be with him on Thursday.

Thank you for your kindness Smiley

He was under for four hours and came round yesterday evening. He was able to smile at me. He was still on morphine so later his conversations had flashes of brilliance followed by talking drug induced nonsense (He had to behave or the nurse would 'hit him with a stick' for example Smiley )

I'll be dropping by later today to see him.
