Paul if it's based on superficial things (normal); Johnson if it's based on substantive issues (ideal).

If I needed to choose one over the other to vote for the latter would really be a no-brainer for me.

Johnson won a state-wide race in a swing state. Paul represents a safe Republican district. Enough said.

This. Many of Paul's legions of followers are tied to the man himself. In any election between them Paul would win on personality alone.

In a Presidential election, though I'd vote Paul, Johnson.

I'd go with Johnson. He has executive experience as a successful Governor. He was able to govern as a libertarian, which seems much more difficult than voting as a libertarian. (Though I have great respect for Paul for his consistency) Also, I don't think gay marriage should be a state issue and am prochoice, which is a point of disagreement between the two.

Whoever wins, sanity loses.

I don't know. I can't really bring myself to decide which is less awful... Johnson's position in favor of gay marriage is better.

Gary Johnson would win. Not sure whom I would vote for, however.

They both subscribe to an ideology that would mean horrible, soul crushing economic depression.

But I chose Gary Johnson, because I believe Paul to be a white nationalist, racist anti-semite.

The vast amounts of stupid you can cram into two sentences never fails to amaze me. Tell me, how can reducing the size of government, ceasing foreign wars of aggression, and granting more civil liberties lead to "soul crushing economic depression"? I'm especially interested in the adjective. Also, how is Ron Paul an anti-semite? Is it because he wants to cut off foreign aid to Israel?

I've moved away from them both economically, but of the two I prefer Ron Paul. Non-authoritarian but still socially conservative, which is what I prefer.

I'd support Johnson, because he's not certifiable... I disagree with him on a lot... but nowhere near as much as I disagree with Paul...

But Paul's supporters are f****** scary... which means he'd probably win.

Since I just met Johnson, I'm changing my vote from Paul to Johnson. Paul doesn't climb mountains.

I would vote for Johnson, but I'm far out numbered by the Cult of Paul.

I wouldn't have to take two seconds to decide for Gary Johnson.

I at least believe Johnson to be sane.

Paul. Johnsons good...just not good enough. Paul is a constitutionalist, as well as a Libertarian, which is better than simply being a Libertarian.

I really like them both, but I think Gary's executive experience helps him out in me voting for him.
