I feel this is BRTD related.

There's no reason why it would be, but there's also no reason why most Christians would want to.

It seems rather blasphemous, but of course this practice is not specifically condemned by the scripture.

There are situations in which it wouldn't be blasphemous, like if it was some sort of brony church (or, more seriously, some sort of weird mass of thanksgiving in an equestrian civilization).

It seems vaguely idolatrous, if nothing else.

Come to think of it, you may have a point.

It's hard to imagine a pony costume that leaves the head uncovered. Therefore the answer is yes. This however applies only to men.

"Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled dishonors her head -- it is the same as if her head were shaven. ... For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man" (1 Cor. 11:4-5, 7).

No, but sticking a feather in your cap and calling it macaroni most certainly is.

There's nothing specifically in Scripture that prohibits worshipping as a pony, so it's not against Christian teachings specifically (the answer is no); if the question was whether it's screwed up, then the answer would be yes.

No. But there's no way in hell I'd ever do it, or dress as a pony for any reason. Pony T-shirts are OK.

Depends.  Males need to dress as colts and females as fillies.

Haha what?! Don't you people check IPs? LOL....

For the record dressing up as characters from any media is one of the things I find ridiculous and would be quite ashamed to be one of the people wearing a costume to the new Batman movie on opening night or anything like that. Same for ridiculously dressed people in sports stands (Swedish Cheese's signature being a perfect example) I'm very plain when it comes to fashion. Dressing ridiculously like that in the opposite direction I dislike as much as dressing formally.

I would like to re-gear this topic toward discussing reasons why most Christians might want to, because that sounds hilarious.

I suppose there might be people in these groups that'd do that:
