This poll's question regarding Occupy sort of debunks the right-wing media's stupid meme about Occupy being dead. This is particularly remarkable considering just how much the media hate hate HATES Occupy.

It is because Occupy is dead-for-all-intents-and-purposes. You could also ask a question about how much you personally identify with the ideals of anti-Vietnam War protesters, and get a higher number at the bottom. Those guys are dead too, though, many literally.

Did you actually look at the poll?

By the way, Occupy's main Facebook page has just passed 386,000 fans and has a record amount of activity.

If that's not spectacular enough, Occupy Campbell County has 22 fans on Facebook while the Campbell County Tea Party has all of 6.

22 whole fans. Wow. Also, reading Occupy's Facebook page is hilarious s**t; the first picture is what looks like one of those newfangled electric tea things saying that restaurant workers minimum wage hasn't been raised in 20 years, and that's one of the reasons we Occupy. Occupy has always been a hilarious movement at heart, like Canada's famous Rhinoceros Party, and reducing it to its core only makes it funnier.

It beats the 6 the Tea Party has.

Yes, but nationally the ratio is something like 800,000:300,000. I forget the actual numbers. In any case, the vast majority of Occupy likers are simply people left over from late 2011; most of them weren't involved then, just casual supporters, and even fewer are involved now. If you were important the media would talk about you. If it hated you and you were important it would try to demonize you. Neither is happening. You don't matter.

Why is it so hard for you to just accept this?

Who's really in denial here?

I participate in Occupy Cincinnati and have contact with folks in other Occupys daily. I know what goes on in Occupy. You don't.

Occupy Chicago just got 10,000 people for their NATO protest! Occupy Montreal just got 500,000 for their student protest!

Also, I find it hard to believe that Campbell County, Ky. is more left-wing than the national average.

For the record, Montreal student protests aren't liked in any way to Occupy and the biggest manifestation was more near of 200,000 than 500,000.
