If the election for President were being held today and the candidates were Barack Obama, the Democrat, and Mitt Romney, the Republican, for which candidate would you vote?

47-45 Obama

...

12 Swing States only:

46-46

...

• 1000 likely voters, including an oversample to reach 462 voters in 12 battleground states, selected randomly from a random-digit-dialing sample including both cellular and landline telephone numbers. Interviews were conducted July 9-12, 2012.

• 12 battleground states: CO, FL, IA, MI, NV, NH, NM, NC, OH, PA, VA, and WI.

Great news for Mr. Romney in those states.

Especially considering the Party I.D., which is D+7, same as '08. This is a poll of Likely voters, so this stuff matters now.

I hate these multi-state polls.  They're absolutely worthless.  Give an effort and actually poll each state individually.

Holy. A lot of those states would've been considered lean-Obama. So that's great news for Romney, assuming anyone's actually gonna put some stock in these numbers.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

The party breakdown of this poll is awful.  Dems +7 over Republicans and all Obama has is a 2 pt lead?  Wow
