Well, after just two months Kadima is out again: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/9406961/Israels-largest-party-walks-out-of-Benjamin-Netanyahus-coalition.html

With Netanyahu having only cancelled an early election because of Kadima getting in, will he call an election now? Also, will this help Kadima survive or will Lapid's party benefit?

It looks like elections will be held in January, and I expect the Tal Law to be the major issue, barring any sort of major foreign policy crisis.

over Likud not pushing conscription for ultra-orthodox Jews?  What an awful issue for Kadima to take it's stand on.

I'd disagree. The government has been more or less popular and when it came to opposition Kadima didn't do much to differentiate itself from them. Kadima has needed something to give voters a reason to support them over the shiny new centrist alternative in Lapid's party. Now an issue that's popular with the voters on which the government is doing nothing drops right right in their lap.

I actually think it's a great issue for a party like Kadima to run on, but they should have done it two months ago, now that they have been in the coalition, Labour and Lapid are more likely to capitalize on the issue.

And in a classic move for Israeli politics, 7 Kadima MK's are going to leave their party and join the coalition, so the elections are off again.
