Well this certainly collapsed after only three posts. Tongue

Yes, you can be on more then one committee, unless the language in your resolution specifies otherwise. Mine and Ben's didn't prohibit it and it has been over a week since I last examine yours and can't remember all the finer aspects except that it is far better written. Tongue

We are only doing the GOR committee write now. Only declare for that if your want to be on that one right now.

I am declaring for a position on the Gov't Oversight and Reform Committee.

So Scott, and myself. Ben do I interpret your post as a declaration for this committee?

Sorry for not making this clear, this isn't a preferential vote. Tongue You are voting for three different positions that are undistinguishable from one another. So the numbering is pointless. Tongue Just vote for three people who are sitting Senators.

With each nominee having received six votes atleast and no one has voted against them I am declaring the vote finished with and 8-0 result on each one and the Committee to be constituted with the following members, effective immediately:

Senator NC Yankee
Senator Scott
Senator benconstine

Congratulations, guys!

In order to reduce unnecessary threads be created we should select the chairmanship of this committee right here.

We do have a slight issue with the fact that two of the members here have their sights set on chairing other committees and the third one is running the Senate.

Since having two chairmanships being held by the same person was an issue of concern in one of the debates, and the PPT holding one wasn't raised, I take it that I am to chair this one, correct?

Okay, onto the next Committee.

Declare your desire to be on the National Security Committee. Same rules apply as before and you have to declare so during this period. Previous postings of intent don't count.

Ben is leading 7-0
Redalgo is leading 6-1
Clarence is leading 4-3
Andrew is leading 4-3

At this point Ben and Redalgo have won really.

The problem is going to come if all three of the remaining people vote for both Andy and Clarence.

I was driven off early by a storm yesterday and didn't get a chance to get back on.

The election ended on the sixth at 1:52 PM EST.

The results are as follows.
TJ in Cleve has won 6-0
Scott has won 6-0
Seatown has won 6-0

Redalgo and Andrews votes were cast after the election ended.

Scott has anounced his desire to seek the Chairmanship?

If Seatown and TJ can chime in either announcing or supporting Scott, we can then vote on the matter.
