With Couillard getting in on Wednesday, figured I might as well put up the thread. Contest is in February, precise date/rules won't be announced till month's end.

Moreau and Bachand are in. Couillard wants an intraparty debate on platform, esp identity issues.

This is the speech that Kinsella thought would be Trudeau's Lincoln moment? Harper and Mulcair will bury him alive in debate. Maybe Liberals should hope for Garneau.

I come from an alternate universe where Trudeau is running for the Liberal leadership in Quebec, cut me some slack, Beav?

Moreau gets 4/5 Outaouais MNAs. The 5th backs Couillard, who also gets Norm MacMillan. Apparently Couillard has been locking up the riding associations already, hardly a surprise.

Wrong party. Those are right-wing and pro-Canada.

Couillard's beard is gone. I hope it's not a decision by an image consultant who said beard might cost you votes.

I've noticed the spending limit is higher in the Quebec Liberals leadership contest ($600,000) than the Ontario Liberals ($500,000). The Ontario race is shorter but I was surprised since it has a bigger population and maybe they don't have as much restrictive donations limit.

Couillard has a very interesting manifesto, to say the least, in Le Devoir.
