1896: Bryan (Quite obviously!)
1900: Bryan
1904: Roosevelt
1908: Bryan
1912: Roosevelt

(but I would have to say that it was a close call, much like the election itself. Smiley)

(Goldwater was a great orator too, but Johnson won the hearts and minds of both history and the American people.)
