Obama doesn't 'get' the UK because he's not white - Romney adviser

The Romney aid is quoted in the OP piece as saying about what Romney believes:

“We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser said of Mr Romney, adding: “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have.”

Apart from the lousy semantics of saying that a "special relationship is special," what's the point of focusing on the "shared Anglo-Saxon heritage" that Obama supposedly doesn't bring to the table?

You Brits, your grandeur just trips all of us poor Yanks up.  Our prez comes over there and talks over your anthem, and a candidate for prez comes over and doesn't know how big cites work.  Maybe it's kind of like a kid who ran away from home returning to visit his parents, and being so nervous, the kid does and says everything wrong.  Or, maybe it's not grandeur, and maybe it's not like being a runaway...maybe, when we Yanks visit other countries, we just act stupid.
