Raul is too interesting for me to join the bandwagon.
By thinking about Cuba, I've thought about Venezuela and, hence, to this question: why Putin is on the list and not Chavez ?
After all, they are both authoritarian guys who submit to "elections".

Anyway, as I can't vote for Chavez Grin
my vote goes to the one who bores me even more than Lukashenka:

Putin

Putin

1. Chavez accepts that the opposition controls the vast majority of the Venezuelan media. Putins doesnt accept a free press.

2. The elections in Venezuela are fairly free according to neutral observers.

Chavez is many things, but not a tyrant. Certainly not comparable to Putin. The opposition is actually quite strong (and often rather violent) in Venezuela.

That makes sense.

2 points to Chad: President Idriss Déby (1990-)
1 point to Guinea-Bissau: Chairman Mamadu Ture Kuruma (2011-)

These are really the least interesting ones.
Thein Sein must live a bit more: fascinating period in Myanmar-Burma currently.

With Karimov, I wanted to save Rahmon Tongue
And Karimov is really a very classical (and boring) dictator: repression on all sides (religious, ethnic, political), no economic liberalization, no complex external policy.

I vote for Dos Santos now.
He has already been successful in survivors and, unfortunately, he is currently without any surprise in his upteenth renewed mandate.

All my favourites are out in fact (Thein Sein, Bouteflika, Compaoré, Nazarbayev) or are about to be killed (Rahmon).

Kagame, Museveni, al-Bashir... well, well, well, not very exciting...

After all, I guess the interest of Museveni has faded a bit for some years now.
Museveni, indeed.

Well, it will be difficult to have a large enough group of real fans (Edu, Hans-Alex, Nhoj, homely, Kal, yourself, myself, etc.) in the near future...

As for me, I'm not so sad, as this situation lets me quiet: I'm a moderator of nothing, and it's really kewl Tongue

And still, I had so many ideas of new survivors Wink
