Goldwater (R): 312
Supersonic (M): 226

The Democratic Party doesn't run a candidate, to fill the void Supersonic runs as a member of the 'Moderate Party'. He's defeated clearly as left wing Democrats simply refuse to vote for a centre-right leaning candidate. Goldwater wins the almost full support of the Republican Party.

Scott (D): 350
Supersonic (I): 188

Mainstream Democratic candidate who carries the entirety of his party versus a moderate centre-right independent whom Republicans lack enthusiasm for and Democrats don't decamp to.

AkSaber (L-AK): 279
Supersonic (I-NY): 202
Unpledged: 57

My attempt to hold the blue wall falters due to my hard-line views on immigration. This causes states such as California, New Mexico and Colorado to slip away to AkSaber, I barely steal Florida due to the senior vote. Some states unamused with the lack of a religious conservative candidate don't break for either me or AkSaber.

Goldwater (Freedom-WA): 277. 49.9%
Supersonic (Conservative-NC): 261. 48.4%

In an alternate reality where the Democratic Party no longer exists. The nation is polarised between the socially liberal, libertarian-esque Freedom Party and the more statist, socially conservative Conservative Party. Goldwater dominates the West and New England, while Supersonic does well in the South and Midwest. There are relatively few swing states in this scenario. Minnesota and Florida decide the election.

Republican95 (R-DC)
Supersonic (R-TN)

Republican primary. Two economic conservatives, one a social conservative, the other a social moderate (in comparison). Republican95 pulls it off.

HockeyDude (D-NJ): 303
Supersonic (R-TN): 235

HockeyDude pretty much holds together the Democratic coalition, while Supersonic suffers from reduced evangelical turnout, without compensating enough from socially moderate independents.

Senator Peter (D-PA) - 48.1%, 265EV's
Governor Supersonic (R-TN) - 49.7%, 273EV's

I wasn't sure if the preceding poster still had to win. Apologies if so.
