Hahahaha.  It's going to be a sad legacy for this guy.

I'm disappointed that Sanders won't be attending, though.

I absolutely detest Joe Lieberman, so I am proud both parties had the sense to remove this cancer.

His GOP patron is gone and Romney is not sympathetic to his bandidos either. I expect Lindsay Graham isn't going to have a very good future going forward either.

Because the 4 tea party freshman in the SC delegation all have strong potential to beat him in the primary.

Hardly unexpected. I'm probably one of the few people here who'll miss him.

I kind of feel sorry for him. It is more evidence that there isn't room for people in the middle anymore.

An excellent Senator who I am I will be missing after these elections...but one who has committed unforgivable apostasies in the view of both parties.

Potential, but not the motivation. With DeMint having already having stated he'll be not be running in 2016, I can't see any of them challenging Graham in 2014.  Plus, there will be some ambitious but cautious State Senators who would likely prefer to challenge Graham in 2014 than run for DeMint's open seat in 2016.  The State Senate is not up for reelection in 2014 but will be in 2016.  So while I expect Graham will face a challenge, it'll most likely be a State Senator instead of a U.S. Representative.

Something's wrong in America when somebody like Lieberman can be considered a 'centrist' or 'middle-ground' guy.

There's a difference between being in the Middle and intentionally going out of your way to alienate people through extreme moderate heroism, especially with regards to the War in Iraq and the Patriot Act. His shenanigans during the Healthcare debate didn't win him any friends on either side of the aisle, and were probably the death knell of his career.

And of course, there's also this:

Something's wrong in America when somebody like Lieberman can be considered a 'centrist' or 'middle-ground' guy.

True, even though I can't fault for the Dems for not inviting him after he campaigned for McCain in '08, you'd think the Republicans would have a spot for him after everything he did.

If Joe wants a slot at the Pub convention, he needs to endorse Mittens. KISS.

I dissent from the Joe bashing on this thread btw. We have enough hyper partisans in Congress, and the slots are all filled.
