Yeah, I know,  not as big as a deal as losing a human being. So what?

Between this, losing my dog earlier this year, and my grandfather being in declining health this year....Sad

I'm really sorry to hear that PR.  Sad  I know what it's like to lose a pet, and it's never easy.  My thoughts be with you.

Sorry to hear this. I know I'd be devastated if I lost one of my cats. She's a part of the family.

The other cat... not so much. But that's another story.

To some people it can be as big a deal, because our pets are like family, and there is no shame in that.  I call my cat my son.  I don't know what I would do if I lost him.  Thankfully, he's only 3 years old, so he should have a long time to live.  I will be praying for you in your time of loss and I will be praying for your grandfather that he may experience miraculous healing!

As Bushie said, pets are your family.  I lost a pet that was very close to me just last Saturday and I feel as though I lost my own daughter, so I completely understand what you're going through.  You have my sincerest condolences.

That sucks. I hope you find him Sad It is a big deal, it may not be a human death, as you said, but it still is equally as sad.

Yes it is.

Not as big a deal as losing a young person, in a way, though. "My" cat (who I haven't actually lived with in ages...) is 15 and getting quite advanced in age, habits and health too. Sad

Sorry to hear.

Losing a pet is just as hard as losing a human friend. As been said before, pets are family.

Take care PR. I hope you don't grieve too long.
