I voted for Senator Pothole, irl.  I liked Al.  He was a tad shady, but he was a local guy with a similar background as me who delivered for the area.  Schumer is just an unrepentant attention whore.

D'Amato, a good senator who went a bit overboard in the Clinton Wars. Schmuckie is just that- an attention-whoring schmuck.

D'Amato, actually. A funny down to earth man and he was decent for a Republican. I can't stand Schumer's smug pretentiousness.

Schumer, though I wouldn't mind D'Amato winning in any case.

D'Amato is the man while Schumer is one of the most disgusting people in Congress.

Schumer is the candidate who is closest to my political views. That's what matters.

You don't think this logic makes sense ? The whole point of the Senate is to pass legislation. Why should I care whether my Senator is a nice guy or not, as long as he votes for the bills I like and against those I don't like ?

Al was pro-union and endorsed by the HRC over Schumer.

I'd really want to vote for D'Amato, for the reasons that Napoleon articulated. It'd probably depend upon the political lay of the land, but he'd definitely have my personal sympathies.

That was a massively controversial decision that led to at least one board member resigning, IIRC. however I was volunteering at an AIDS charity right after the republican takeover of Congress and D'Amato was instrumental in preserving funding when there were otherwise no patrons in the GOP.

D'Amato easily... Schumer's recent comments on the first amendment among other things prove why he isn't qualified to be a dog catcher, much less the senior senator from the state of New York.
