Here's the map if anyone's interested:

My favorite part was Hancock County being the only county to vote for Dave Hancock.

I was hoping it was mainly a question of the liberal vote being split, but it doesn't look like it. Nashville-Davidson (clearly the most liberal county in TN) gave Clayton 26% to his statewide of 30%.

I'm kind of surprised. He seems tailored to the state. What, do Democrats hate crossover votes or something?

There will be no crossover voters. No one knows and no one will know what this guys positions are, the Dem state party made sure of that...

Well, every "attack" on him has been along the lines of "He's a gay bashing homophobe!", which is if anything a positive thing in a state like Tennessee.

It's kind of uncanny how out of touch the Tennessee Democratic Party is; yeah, he's certifiably nuts on several issues, but you're attacking him for holding positions that are actually palatable to the Tennessee electorate. The only longshot in hell you ever have of ever getting a Dem seat in this state is with someone with views similar to this. It's like if the Republican party tried to sabotage a moderate/mild liberal running in a state like Massachusetts or Washington.

From what I've heard, it was mostly people voting for the first name on the ballot, just like in SC in 2010.

He's already running, but in a different state and using the name 'Joe Manchin'.

How long do we have to wait until you post something of actual substance?
