Stenholm. If the '03 redistricting had never happened, my guess is he'd have been defeated in 2010.

But iI could pick one Dem to save from DeLay's machinations, though, it would be Martin Frost (Dallas, 24th). He was easily the most intelligent representative Texas has had in recent years.

I think they would have all lost in 2010, except for probably Frost.

I would have picked Sandlin...I've always been a fan of his; he constructed a populist voting record while still appealing to a conservative constituency.

Stenholm, even though he'd fit well in the GOP in most non-Southern states, since he would vote our side far more than a Texas Republican would.
